The Centre for French Teaching and Documentation (C.F.T.D.) was set up in 2002 within the framework of the Franco-Nigerian Project for the improvement of the teaching of French.
C.F.T.D. Enugu is in charge of the retraining of teachers of pilot schools in the South-East, South-South, Niger-Delta region.

There are two other C.F.T.D. in Nigeria, at Ibadan and Jos, covering respectively the South-west and Middle-belt/Northern part of the country.
