Our French program is based on 3 general levels (beginner, intermediary, advanced) defined by the council of Europe and assessed by internationally renowned certificates.

1st level
|
I can:
- Understand and use simple sentences concerning immediate concrete surrounding.

I can:
- Understand sentences and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most personal relevance.
- Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics.

- Understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst traveling.

- Give reasons or explanations for opinions and plans.

- Understand extended speech and follow complex lines of arguments provided the topic is reasonably familiar.
- Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible.
- Present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to my field of interest.
- Explain a viewpoint on a topical issue, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

- Express myself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious search for expressions. Use language flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes.
- Formulate ideas and opinions with precision, developing particular points and rounding off with an appropriate conclusion.

How long does it take to speak French?
Each of Alliance Française Enugu’s level corresponds to about 100 hours of teaching.
3 different formulas enable you to complete one level in more or less time, depending on your availability:
V.I.P. (Very Intensive Program), 6 levels available
1 level = 1 session
Everyday from Monday to Friday
Time: 9am to1pm (30minutes break)
Total: 105hrs per session
E.V.E. (Evening Express Program), 9 levels available
1 level = 1.5 session
Everyday from Monday to Thursday
Time: 4pm to 6.30pm
Total: 60 hrs per session
Business class, 3 levels available
Year-long program
Saturday only
Time: 9.30 am-12.30 pm
Total: 111hrs per year

Tuition fees for first 2008 registration:
V.I.P.: N 6,800 per session
E.V.E.: N 5,000 per session
Business Class: N 18,000 per year (1 installment) or N 20,000 per year

Program for bankers: N 20,000 per year (1 installment) or N 22,000 per year
(2 installments)

Summer Afternoon Program for Secondary School Students
We keep your children busy during the summer holidays.

Everyday from Monday to Friday, for 4 weeks

On Saturdays, from 9am to 12pm
Primary 1 - 3
Children from 5 to 7 years will be initiated into oral French with Tatou, the cat that speaks French. This method is based on folk tales and proposes a lot of interactive activities, games and manual work.
Primary 4 – 6
Children from 8 – 10 years will make friends with 6 children from the 4 corners of the world. Together, they will discover Paris and progressively learn how to express themselves in French in concrete situations, in creative activities, games, songs…
JSS
Our programme and the book are based on the national curriculum. Our teachers, trained by the Center for French Teaching and Documentation (CFTD) are equipped to prepare the students for JSSCE.
SSS
The literature and civilisation exams on SSCE&NECO are challenging. They require proper preparation. Alliance Française is prepared to give adequate academic reinforcement.
Saturday Day Care
On Saturday, from 9am to 12pm
For 3 to 5 year old children whose brother or sister is attending French class – Sat. morning only.
